PRIVATE GROUP COMMISSIONS
I am available for private group commissions
for alternative movie posters.
HOW IT WORKS:
Either I or a designated commissioner gathers together a group of interested buyers to fund a bespoke limited edition movie poster for a favorite movie or video game, illustrated by me. I create the art, then it gets printed either as a screen print or a giclée and shipped out to group members within a few months.
In a group commission, my poster art fee and the print production costs are shared evenly amongst a group of at least 30 members, making an expensive endeavor more affordable to all parties. Group commissions are the only way to "commission" me for a poster, as my work is too expensive for one-off individual commissions.
My art fee for a private group poster commission ranges from $2K - $3K, plus a minimum of 10 Artist Proofs from the print run. Print production costs are project dependent and will be quoted and confirmed prior to printing.

MY EXPERIENCE
To date, I have run 6 "reverse" commissions for screenprinted posters. In those cases, I created the posters first, and then I put a group of interested folks together to fund the run of prints. I worked with the print shop directly to get price quotes, and I did the print separations myself. I also handled the shipping to group members.
I don't collect fees until the art is ready for printing, and I clearly communicate all expectations as to the queue time for printing. I try to keep group commissions as short as possible between buy in and receipt of print. I treat my group commissions the same way I do any other professional work. I finish the work in a timely fashion and communicate transparently, ensuring all buyers are satisfied with the experience.
